FIRST EDITION

NOTE: V1 of each character is the original MGA release with detailed outfits, V2 of each character is the Bandai release with undetailed outfits, V3 of each character (except for Jade and Yasmin as photos have not been found at the moment or these versions do not exist) is a Bandai release with detailed outfits, and V4 of each character is the Japanese TOMY release that comes packaged with the “CoolBratz” logo and undetailed outfits. V4 likely came out in 2003 when Bratz debuted in Japan, but has been archived on this page for comparison purposes. This collection was re-released in 2005 for the brand’s fifth anniversary. The easiest way to tell the difference between the original and re-released editions is that the original packaging has a matte logo and the re-release packaging has a holographic logo, while the original dolls do not have holes on the bottom of their shoes and the re-release dolls have holes on the bottom of their shoes. This collection was reproduced in 2021 (then again with different packaging in 2023) for the brand’s twentieth anniversary and has more differences that make it easier to tell apart from the original collection; the reproductions can be viewed here.
